With all the software available for the blackberry, does anything allow you to use the blackberry as a modem for the computer - blackberry to laptop connection might be via a usb lead or bluetooth?

Thread moved to VM mobile phone as it's most relevant to the phone setup using VM's mobile network, than internet which is broadband ;)

You may be able to do it via Bluetooth (if you don't have bluetooth on the laptop, you can pick up a usb stick for very little).

You should be aware that most mobile tariffs are limited (even if they say otherwise) to a set amount of data. It's not easy to get to those limits on a Mobile, but is easy on a laptop.

I believe that you need to install the Blackberry Desktop Manager(BDM) onto the laptop and then connect the Blackberry device to the laptop using the supplied usb cable. In BDM you should find a menu item for IP Modem, this is where you can use the Blackberry device as a modem to get access to the internet.
