Failed Recordings - How are they possible if I have already watched the programmes!

Before, My V+ froze when I was accessing the V+ menu to watch a programme. So I pressed the reset button and after it all started up again I opened the V+ menu to find that a HD recording from 4HD and a normal programme from C4+1 showed as 'failed' luckily I have already watched the 2 programmes but how can they have failed when I have already watched them

Possibly a software update has caused issues???

I've had this before... there must of been an issue with the recording, but was ok on 1st playback or the reboot caused the fault with the recording?

On the HD one there was a 3 second sound glitch but there were no probs with the ITV one

It's a strange one isn't it? From what I can gather it's a rare issue.. thankfully! :)

Normally if theres a failed recording, it just won't play at all, but this lets you watch at least once until you reboot...

I've had this quite a few times. The box freezes, you press reset and pray. Usually 40% of HD recordings fail although recently this has not happened much.
