Connection Problem
Ok so I keep getting disconnected randomly so I monitored my power levels etc to see if I could see anything wrong and it was all over the place, the following was taken during a 20 min perios of connection problems.
Downstream Status Locked Channel ID 4 Downstream Frequency 331000000 Hz Modulation 256QAM Bit Rate 42884296 bits/sec Power Level 8.4 dBmV Signal to Noise Ratio 39.2 dB Upstream Channel The data shown in the table below provides information about the signal being transmitted to the network from your cable modem. Upstream Status Ranging Channel ID 2 Upstream Frequency 25800000 Hz Modulation 16QAM Bit Rate 10240000 bits/sec Power Level 48.5 dBmV Downstream Status Operational Channel ID 13 Downstream Frequency 299000000 Hz Modulation 256QAM Bit Rate 20480000 bits/sec Power Level 10.5 dBmV Signal to Noise Ratio 39.4 dB Upstream Channel The data shown in the table below provides information about the signal being transmitted to the network from your cable modem. Upstream Status Operational Channel ID 3 Upstream Frequency 37500000 Hz Modulation 16QAM Symbol Rate 768000 bits/sec Power Level 40.0 dBmV Downstream Status Operational Channel ID 13 Downstream Frequency 299000000 Hz Modulation unknown Bit Rate 0 bits/sec Power Level -8.0 dBmV Signal to Noise Ratio 23.5 dB Upstream Channel The data shown in the table below provides information about the signal being transmitted to the network from your cable modem. Upstream Status Operational Channel ID 3 Upstream Frequency 37500000 Hz Modulation 16QAM Symbol Rate 768000 bits/sec Power Level 40.0 dBmV Any help would be appreciated |
Re: Connection Problem
Looks like your downstream SNR is dropping rather badly, 23.5 is really bad and really shouldn't have been Operational as it says especially as you have no bit rate.
If you came through to me for this I'd be checking for area faults and if I didn't find any I'd be booking a tech. |
