If I am correct the second lot the upstream power level is too low.

What country and network does that actually apply to as Virgin has the Knowsley platform and the Langley/Bromley platform with different QAM's and power levels as shown in the stickies.

The site is Chinese so far as I can tell. Which doesn't help you.

To my mind, since the document refers to DOCSIS 1/2 behaviours, it is country independent.

I would recommend highly http://bradyvolpe.com/ for those who want to swot on cable networks a bit. It does assume some knowledge so be aware.
