Some channel bitrates will be reduced as well. HD over Freeview is an almighty fudge. I wish they'd just be honest about it and admit that the long-term future of free-to-air broadcasting in this country is going to have to be over Freesat.

It's certainly going to be an inferior option. I'm disappointed about the red button services. As I see it this is one of the main advantages of digital TV. :(

News multiscreen is also missing from freesat as well at the moment, so is only available with a sky box. Mind you, there are some workarounds about.
