What should the downstream power level be and the snr and what should the upstream power level be?

Downstream SNR, above 30 is preferred, 28ish being the lower limit (i think)

Downstream power should be as close to 0 as possible, with the limits being -6dbmv to +12dbmv

Upstream power should be no lower than around 32dbmv and no higher than 58dbmv. If you are on QAM16 the power level should not be higher than +55dbmv.

DS I wouldn't have it higher than +10 ... field runs with -10 - 10 across the board .. but it depends who you speak to ...
