volume on samsung cable box
 

Hi there,

I have a virgin cable box (samsung smt 2001c). We lost the remote to our tv, so we just used the master volume on the cable remote to switch the volume up and down and mute it.

The problem is my baby daughter got hold of the remote and pressed some buttons and not the volume doesn't change. The scale appears on screen and goes up and down and the mute icon appears but no change in actual volume.

What could she have pressed and how can I get it back to how it was?

Welcome back!

I don't think your daughter has done this. Check that the TV is connected to the lower SCART socket on the cable box. The volume is fixed on the VCR socket so that you don't mess up your recordings when you adjust the volume.
