V+ Box not functoning between 01:00 and 01:30
 

Does anyone know why my V+ box won't ffwd, rew, or pause properly between 01:00 and 01:30 in the mornings? It really is a pain in the butt.

That's when the V+ is busy loading the next day's EPG data. There is no solution to it.

After the clocks go back at the end of the month, the problem will move to midnight.

Is there any reason why VM don't just move the download to say 3AM ?

It's the way DVB defines it. At midnight GMT, day 1 becomes day 0, day 2 becomes day 1, and so on. If the V+ waited until 3am to update the data, you'd have 3 hours with no data.

That said, the V+ could handle it better to be less disruptive to the operation of the box.

I also find that during that time if I try to use catch up the program starts to play then stops and the box reboots then I can watch it, as has been said it is a pain but hopefully they will find a way round it one day.

Ahhhh, I see. Surely though if they did move the changeover to 3AM then there would only be 1 night of reduced listings and further nights would contain the full 24 hours? Or maybe I'm oversimplifying... !

I must say though that the Samsung handles it much better than the SA.

But there should be little issue with extending day zero for three hours, just tag on an extra three hours to day seven
