Sky Sports

Is it possible to upgrade to Sky sports just for 1 day or week/month?
As there is a football match on that I want to see tomorrow.

Cheers

there is no point in watching skysports on virigin media , as u wont be able to use the red button , for the match u want , if two matches are going on same time..this is what i found out what a waste of money.

THE BEST THING IS TO SWITCH TO SKY.

ali

Disagree. More to lose by switching to Sky and not that much to gain unless you pay for it.

I have enough sport with ESPN, Euro and Sky. While a wee red button may be handy once in a while, I've never been missed out on a televised live game that I've actually wanted to see. So I'm happy with Virgin.

The red button novelty soon wears off... if you switch to Sky for that, then.. well..

Why would you want to move???? owing to red button. If you love sport and want value, why pay SKY for ESPN when you can get it for free on Virgin???? and the price for sky sports is virtually the same on both services

Now when are you going to post something useful

ESPN isn't "free". It's included in the price of the top VM TV package, which makes it appear free to those of us who subscribe to XL TV (especially those who were subscribed to XL before ESPN anyway). However, everyone who isn't on XL has to pay for it. So it isn't free. And yes, I am a pedant of the highest order.

Re: Sky Sports

yes you are indeed correct Squealy however based on comparable packages i think the virgin xl package is comparable to that of of the equivalent SKY package, in which case you would still need to pay for ESPN on SKY. Either way allli's first post was a bit pointless

Re: Sky Sports

Well surely all you get with red button for the football is a choice of the 'non main' champs league games, fan zone and few other stats etc. Really not that big of a deal tbh.
