What Outputs On The Phono Connection
 

As my dvd surround system does not have an optical input I have connected the phone audio out on the V+ to the aux.phono in on the surround system.

Can someone confirm what is ouput from the V+ phono's---is it plain stereo or should I get dolby pro-logic when it's available.

I'm sure it's just standard stereo from the phono lead?

Ahem.

Left and right phono's are 'just' plain stereo, but can output Dolby Pro Logic with ease. The program itself has to have been encoded in Pro Logic and that encoding preserved all the way through the transmission chain. If it has been, V+ is perfectly capably of outputting it.
