Windows XP Install Issue

When trying to install XP Home OEM on a machine I have here it keeps wanting to skip files because it cannot find them. I have tried various different CD's and its the same, just got another HDD and CDRom tonight to try and it still plays up so my only guess is the RAM, anyone any ideas?

That's a typical symptom of bad RAM. Try removing / refitting / using only one if you have two or more / getting new RAM.

Have removed and refitted, will try it in another slot over the weekend, just got a machine in for a customer but dont have any more I can try, will see if I can find some more to try.

Thanks for your help anyway.

Memtest86+ would help prove it is the RAM and if you hae more than one stick would show which.
