Epson Scanner Problem
 

I Have an Epson Perfection 640u Scanner and have downloaded the Vista 32 bit drivers.

When trying to scan i get a message on sceen saying "Establishing connection with Epson Perfection 640u" and most of the time it fails and said it couldnt get a connection. On the rare occasion it does work im able to do a prescan yet if i try and scan it said it cannot import the image to whatever im trying to scan in for example MS Paint.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers but still no joy, anyone else know what could be the cause?

install a xp virtual machine and run it in there
