Port Forwarding on Netgear WNR2000 Hi, I am wanting to Port Forward UDP 55554 to 55555 for an rcon program. Now I want the port forwarding to be for all computers connected to the router In the IP both can I put: 192.168.1.* ? Or something like that as a wildcard If I can't use a wildcard, can I open the same ports for all computers For example 192.168.1.2 and 192.168.1.3 Have UDP 55554 to 55555 open for both ? |

Re: Port Forwarding on Netgear WNR2000 The answer to your first question is no, you must specify a static IP address in that box. The answer to your second question is that I don't believe you can. What is it that you're actually trying to achieve? ---------- Post added at 12:09 ---------- Previous post was at 12:07 ---------- For clarity, I suspect the Netgear router might let you, but in practice you'll find that it won't work. |

Re: Port Forwarding on Netgear WNR2000 The only way you can do it it to have different external ports mapped for each seperate PC.. For example 55550/1 goes to 55554/5 on 192.168.0.2 55552/3 goes to 55554/5 on 192.168.0.3 55554/5 goes to 55554/5 on 192.168.0.4 Though I'm not sure even some routers can map..instead the only forward :( |

Re: Port Forwarding on Netgear WNR2000 Hi, Thanks I think I will just got for different ports. The rcon program i am using has an option, to put a port in so you can view the chat. I wanted to use the same port on all PC's so I only had to remember the one port that was opened on the router, but I will go with different ports. |
