BBC Homepage Problem
Suddenly lost all localisation on the BBC homepage, weather, local news etc.
When I click on the link which asks you to set your location for news/weather etc my postcode is already there. If I choose weather then my local forecast appears, but it doesn't on the home page. Anyone else seeing this? Update - if I go to the weather page my postcode is set already & I get a link to local news, but www.bbc.co.uk still asks me to set my location under local news & gives me central London for weather. Lost all content layout customisation as well... |
Re: BBC Homepage Problem
So I'm not the only one seeing this problem. Did you install the latest set of MS updates?

Re: BBC Homepage Problem
Yes, running Windows 7, plus FF just updated to 3.5.3 but not sure how that could have affected it. All bbc.co.uk cookies are still present...

Re: BBC Homepage Problem
I'm still on FF 3.0.13. Other sites that use cookies seem ok. It also is ignoring the 'profile' of items to display(eg News, Business, Sport).

Re: BBC Homepage Problem
Same for me, but was OK earlier. I think it's a BBC problem.

Re: BBC Homepage Problem
Well, I've submitted a website fault report. Wait to see if it gets fixed...

Re: BBC Homepage Problem
Thank god it just thought it was me, have spent two hours checking all settings. This after having just recovered my system from a major failure and still not happy all running smooth. Also on FF 3.5.3 with cookies protected for BBC, i have also left website fault report.

Re: BBC Homepage Problem
Appears to be fixed now. Got localisation back, but had to redo page layout to get it as before...
