I saw this story, and it made me laugh. Especially since I remember reading an RFC about IP over Carrier Pigeon a while ago. Perhaps we should give it some thought? ;)

There are some obvious drawbacks with carrier pigeons not least of all is you have to

*House them.
*Feed them.
*Clean up after them.
*They are damned noisy.

To be honest 5 hours over ASDL is still quicker than the Post.

I can see where this is coming from really as the upload speeds are just terrible.

but as Maggy has said this is still faster then Royal Mail..

That would be the Internest Protocol / Trained Carrier Pigeon stack...

Mmmm, this was in South African and the companies computer can't have been up to much either, it took an hour for the pigeon and another hour to upload the 4 gig from the usb pen, an hour ??????
