video sender controller problem!
 

iv just got a digisender from argos and iv set it up! conected to a normal virgin box! i can see virgin on my secound tv and menus but the virgin controller does not work on my secound tv! i have to go down stairs and change the channal! why is this? can any one help please!

thank u very much sir! god i sound thick! it works now! thanx alot pal! and just for one question more! i also hav v+ but i read that you need conect it up to tv wit scart and gettin rid of the hdmi cable get menus up on secound tv is this true?

Yes - if you use HDMI on the main TV, you can connect something to the second SCART on the V+ (like a video sender) but there are no menus displayed throught the SCART. In other words, you get a picture through the video sender, but no menus.

If you happen to have the new Samsung V+ box then I believe it does display menus through the SCART's whilst the HDMI is enabled.

i have an Philips SBC VL1200 video sender. my main tv as an HDMI going to it only. But my V+ box is not set to HDMI. i get video sound and menu. anywhere around my home What you need to do is. use the top scart of the V+ box for video sender. the tv one not the video. this should solve all transmitted menu problem. the only downside i have found is, that you get nothing transmitted via the sender if you set your v+ to hdmi.

Hi, you have replied to a year old thread which I imagine is done and dusted by now, also if you have an HD box, surely you would want to view the HD channels, which isn't going to happen over Scart

weather its done or dusted or not. the as been no verification that it as been sorted. i am in no doubt. that this problem will raze its ugly head again. the reader as been pointed in the wrong direction. saying the new box solves this issue. it dose not. and i have an hd box because it also as the record function. and i use the HDMI lead as it is allot neater. so if your thread was meant to discredit me in any way. it as not...i am an electrician and been so for 20 year. and as for the scart not getting HD. i am far from thick,,,
