Do you have Win98se or WinME and wanna run "XP" only programs??

Must be installed on Win98/WinME (Dunno if anything else will work but this looks awesome!!) and you must have Microsoft Layer for Unicode (MSLU)

Basically this adds a COMPATIBILITY MODE...

Known problems:

Despite changing Windows version in compatibility tab some programs complain about wrong system version. Example: Adobe Flash Player 10

Solution

Create "xp.reg" file in notepad with following contents

Code:

REGEDIT4

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion]

"CurrentVersion"="5.1"

Double click on "xp.reg" file.

Install the program.

Create "unxp.reg" file in notepad with following contents

Code:

REGEDIT4

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion]

"CurrentVersion"=-

Double click on "unxp.reg" file.

yes, but they can only use 98 until we go into the year 2000, then every computer will crash because of the date change. planes will fall out of the sky and everything....

as for Windows ME, this strikes me as being a potential disaster for MS. I get the feeling it might be a bit pants....
