Is it not time for Virgin to clean up its pricing structure?
It seems no one apart from BenMCr understands the pricing structure that Virgin Media uses.
For existing customers it would be a lot easier to get rid of the discounts but have prices for the services costed as they appear on the Virgin website. In that way we would be able to anticipate the additional cost of additional services without having to guess what impact it might have on our discounts! Does anyone agree with this idea? |

Yes I do, got my new contract today and it's just so confusing how much I will actually be paying per month with all the "Triple XL Discount" and "Multiroom Discount" things and stuff is listed twice for some reason :confused:

The Problem is, is that each service has a different price depending on which bundle you are on, hence the bundle discounts. Now, if the price of each service was put into the system more than once with every possible bundle then the discounts wouldn't be required. e.g. If Customer X has Broadband L and Phone M then TV XL = £X

Surely if they made their prices and charges more clearer, they could reduce the half a page of [not so] small print on their website

I agree they need to sort it
But part of the problems is that everyone is so hung up on the discounts they don't look at the Total figure E.G. Virgin say BB L is £14 with a phoneline - so £25 in total. Even if the bill gives the total monthly price as £25 you still get customers phoning up Same goes for the other deals |

I guess it's the 'exceptions to the rule' that end up being provocative. Eg next to the price for broadband L that requires a phone line rental (£5 initially, then £14 per month) is a very specific alternative price without a phone line of £14 for 3 months and then £20. I have to assume that the then ongoing £20 per month broadband only pricing is still billed as £25 as those who signed to that particular deal are effectively getting an ongoing £5 discount until such time as VM decide otherwise. If that's not the case then that is a key pricing statement that is possibly confusing when compared to what others may be paying for the same standalone service and one that would prompt many to explore the possibility of customer equality.

Isnt £20 per month for 10mb quite expensive?
I'd think £15 is much more reasonable. |

Totally agree, we just renewed our contract, prices so confusing a more simpler method would be better, get rid of all the bundles and offers just have prices for tv bb phoe mobile
