Speeding 85-year-old woman escapes ban

Full Story here. Any normal person would have been banned on the spot, she's avoiding the speed camera in question and speeding round the other areas of Eastwood. It's about time they bought in when you reach 70 you've got to take another test.

Now forgive me if I'm wrong but you either lose your licence at 12 points or get a driving ban? She has 13 points on hers... She could easily get a bus or a taxi like those of us who don't own a car. It won't prevent her from going shopping or going to visit her sisters.

Ban her, she has too many points on her license, it can't be one rule for one and one for anyone else. Ban ban ban.

on a brighter note she's not causing a five mile tail back by driving too slow .

But when will they listen? When she runs someone over and kills them? then will she be banned? is it worth waiting to find out. Just ban this fool.

Reminded me of this: http://www.southparkstudios.com/clips/154174

Basically the adults are patronising to the old people but also don't want to revoke their licences for fear of ageism.
