Serial bigamist avoids jail term

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/m...er/8171061.stm

Frankly after her cruel treatment of these 5 men I think she was damned lucky...and surely the mental elf defence won't work again if she does it again...

I am wondering if a man had behaved in a similar manner would he have been jailed?

Sounds like she's addicted to weddings. Maybe she has a thing about white lace.

Or like one acquaintance of mine who was a serial fiancée for the engagement rings..I counted that she had 5 by the time I ceased to have anything to do with her.

Its a good job your ex-friend was never up in front of Judge Judy Maggy, she always gives the engagement ring back to the man saying, "it was given in expectation of marriage, as that didn't happen the ring goes back to the man".
Having said that I too know a woman who has "collected" three engagement rings over the years, in her case though it was pure greed.

I went through 3 from the same guy! I did however marry him (oh and divorce him) and I still have the last engagement ring he gave me :D

And I'm not the person Frogstamper is referring to above! The diamond fell out the first one, the second one was a different colour to my wedding ring so he bought me a third :p

Hence the requirement for a 'divorce party' :D

Despite being cautioned twice for the same offence and then being given a 6 month jail sentence for the 4th office, she goes on to re-offend for a 5th time, and gets.... a 10 month suspended jail sentence.

Honestly, what's the point? I despair at the judgement but also the amount of money gone to get it.

I'm sure your much nicer than the girl I mentioned above superbiatch:) the girl I knew never even got close to a church/registry office.
A similar thing happened with my ex-wife many years ago, in that she lost her engagement ring when we were on holiday in Greece, so she ended having two.
