Google Streetview delay
 

Anyone know how long it takes from the streetview car taking a picture to getting it online?
Reason I ask, is I was passed by one while in a traffic queue the other day - want to see if I will be on streetview :)

They'll probably wait until they've done the whole area before it goes live

Looking at one of the old streetview threads Russ said he got passed in July and that picture only went live in March the following year ;)

That delay was because of the initial launch in the UK and they waited until they had about a dozen towns/cities covered.. You might not have to wait that long.. but I still think it'll be at least a couple of months

Well if this is anything to go by then it will be later this year.

That was only because of with Street View went live so it could be any time really.

Oh well - will just have to keep an eye on the area in G Maps.

I also bumped into the streetview car half a mile from my home today - so I guess my castle (Minas Tirith) will be on there in a few months :)
