'Bing' sound on voicemail!

Weird! Have recently taken on a Fixed Phone, and set up v/m. Now, every day, I get the interrupted tone when I get home, and listen to the messages. There may be an odd real message, but 3 or 4 times there will be the usual pre-amble, and when the message is played you just hear this 'Bing' noise, and that is it. I can then save this, delete it etc etc as though it was a real message.

I do not think Virgin are taking this seriously, I am worried that I am losing calls?

Anyone else had this please?

I think that's just when someone has hung up without leaving a message, I get them sometimes.

I've had no 'bing' noises.

Plenty of alerts to say there is a message waiting when there isn't though

could be automated sales call system which drops the call once it recognises it's gone through to voicemail.
