WI FI conection - Strange - but boring!!
 

Have Pc in one room Wii in another. Wanted internet to Wii. So got Wi Fi connector (USB) . Had to move PC to line of sight to get it to work desk is on wheels .
OK its not to far Ill get an extension cable ( Maplins £10) Yes work fine - even when it is wrapped up and put on to top of PC ! unplug & put straight into USB - it no work !!! distance is a difference of 6" upwards ie usb port to top of PC. :erm:

I got the VM 20mb with the netear wireless router and wii connects fine i dont have the usb dongle but can think why u have to move the pc range should be good enough.
If you dont have a wireless router i would go for one of them instead as its a lot better than the usb dongle and you wont need to keep pc on either.
Also the daughters DS also conencts to router fine and the Wii and thats with the router on the ground floor and the Wii on the 3ed floor of the house.

normally if u put anything on usb u have to load software onto pc
