The reason I ask is that lately My sister & 3 people in my department at work have had problems with there credit card security, and theres 6 people in it.

Is it a site you have heard of? Does it give a proper trading address? Is it UK based or somewhere obscure and thus less likely to be genuine? Finally does it use proper security certificates and protocols when you are ready to sign up for an account.

Answer no to any one of those and you might not be sure, answer no to two or more and I'd be getting worried.

SSL does not nessersarily means it's safe though, depends how they deal with your payment information after. That is the aspect I would be most concerned about when dealing with smaller businesses, they just may not have the correct security infrastructure built up around their customers information.

Well those screenshots bring back some memories :)

Beyond the technical stuff already mentioned, Google comes back with a couple of suspect reports on them such as PCAdvisor. A directory service has them listed here with only a gmail address for contact - although that's more than I could find under the contact us section of their website.

Sorry I couldn't be more positive, but I tend to be a cynical suspicious old bugger!

No UK contact number, only a PO-BOX address...

If you look on thier forum there's very few posts and most of them look like it's the admin posting under another name

And finally thier Domain registration is protected from viewing by WHOISGUARD for some weird reason???

Personally I wouldn't touch with a barge pole

The link I posted appears to have the same game and it downloads, not sure if it needs a key as did not try to open it as its a windows program and I use Linux.

Hi

They seem to have live support on the site. It is free support software so this always puts me off.

looks like it is abandonware so just download it for free. Dont pay for abandonware unless the original author gets a cut :<

Exactly.... But i was mainly checking for an SSL link on the site listed... (Without SSL you should not EVER ENTER YOUR CREDIT CARD DETAILS!! (IN email, etc))
