Help connecting V Box to TV
 

Hi everyone..new to this..I am an existing Virgin customer and used to have TV but just had phone and broadband for a long time.I have just received the Quick Start pack.V Box and just the basic TV free pack.My problem is I am having trouble connecting it up...no instructiions with it...done my best and all I'm getting is "Your Digital Service Will Start Shortly"but nothing else happens...so...can anyone help me with an explanation and/or diagram please as I've no idea (being a mere woman!!!!) whether I have wired the whole thing up right...sorry this is a long post and thanks in anticipation of a reply...ps TV..VCR..Samsung set top box

Have they paired the card with the box?

You should have received two cables and a splitter with the box, and a plastic spanner. The splitter has an input on one side and two outputs on the other.

To install it, unscrew the cable from the back of your broadband modem, and connect it to the input side of the splitter. Connect one of the new cables from the output side of the splitter to the modem, and the other cable from the splitter to the TV box.

Make sure the smartcard is in the TV box, chip side downwards, and turn everything on.

But it might be you've done it all correctly, and the box simply needs activating. Give the Quickstart helpline a call to get that done. I think there's number is 0800 953 9500 (but check in the stuff you were sent)
