I see ppl looking at 802.11a, pls don't pick one of these units up. they're awful and have a reasonably easy bootp vulnerability to exploit; I know.

If you must pick it up make sure its NOT been upgraded to latest firmware, original was VxWorks, updates have been some poor quality linux build (the builds are hardcoded to the uk, so US builds won't work.... tried)

Check the version, then see if http://www.dd-wrt.com/dd-wrtv3/dd-wrt/hardware.html works :)

tried, no go, atheros and I'm not that into cooking 'roms' or 'builds'
