Earthquake in Wales

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/wales/8086821.stm

Quote:

An earthquake, the largest measured in south Wales for 34 years, has been confirmed by seismologists.
The quake was felt at 2042 BST with the epicentre near Nantyfyllon, 6.2 miles (10km) north east of Port Talbot.
So who got lucky last night? ;)

It was the chicken tikka I had....

I felt the earthquake, I just thought my neighbours were slamming doors again.

If Russ ever decides to try one of the Vindaloos then maybe we should ask if he could give us all some notice so that we can baton down the hatches. :D

Re: Earthquake in Wales

The day my youngest was born here in Leeds we had a earthquake.
I had her at home, and everyone said I was making it up, but I felt the bed move as I delivered.

Had to wait for Look North evening telly programme to confirm it though, the midwife said I was having an after shock!!

I remember staying in Barmouth North Wales 1984 iirc when a whopper hit. Proper shaking the buildings. I say whopper but really it was smaller compared to what happens elsewhere
