Moving Virgin Box to my bedroom
Hi ya, i have one standard Virgin Media Tv box currently set up in the living room and would like to move it to the bedroom so i can still watch it when the other half has friends round for footie, when the box was installed the man kindly wired a coaxial (white) lead into my bed room which is my ariel for my tv in bedroom but no virgin tv channels come threw it, it has the connectors to screw into my virgin box but there is no signal comin in to the bedroom, do i need a 2 way satellite splitter if so where do i need to connect it to - need info in basic terms as my dads always done this sort of thing for me and has recently died so am a bit of an amature when it comes to ariels and wires ect

Re: Moving Virgin Box to my bedroom
You need to check the other end of that cable going to the bedroom and find out if it's connected to the main cable...

Re: Moving Virgin Box to my bedroom
It comes through the wall and plugs into a six way sort of ariel splitter and then theres another thing with 3 leads in it that i think virgin fixed in and i think the lead that goes into the virgin box in the front room comes from this, sorry not to good at explaining it it a spagetti junction of wires

Re: Moving Virgin Box to my bedroom
Be much easier to get another box installed by VM and then you can watch different channels.

Re: Moving Virgin Box to my bedroom
Instead of moving your set top box each time you want to watch TV in your bedroom, why not buy a video sender.
Like yourself I'm not Stephan Hawkins when it comes to tech matters:) but click on this link to see how it works. BTW Welcome to the forum Penfold:welcome: http://www.videosender.net/ PS Let us know how it goes, good luck. |
