help with setting up my netgear wireless
 

hi guys, first time poster here.

here is my problem.

I have had a netgear router for a number of months which i connect to using a dongle which was provided by virgin media. It worked fine and managed to set it up fine.

However since unpluggin my router when moving my living room around i cant get my computer upstairs to connect to the router that is located downstairs by my modem and wired computer. i have tried a number of different things to get my upstairs internet working. Including resetting the router. however i have gotten completely stuck doing this and cant get my wireless to work at all.

On my computer upstairs i can see the available network however it will not let me connect to it, it doesnt even ask for a password it just fails to connect.

my router is the WGR614 standard by the way.

any help here would be very much appreciated :)

Have you tried deleting your current settings on the upstairs computer and reconnecting?
