I was recently on a forum, lets call it thecomputerdesk.com.
A friend posted a link to which people can talk to "Experts at Currys" about their products and ask for advice etc. I was talking to someone using this service, I asked him a question regarding a processor and after about 1 minute, his reply was Quote:

page referrer id. It's a way to check where the link was that took you to that page. In this case it showed up that the link you clicked wasn't on the curry's site
