Copy and paste from Adobe to Word

Hi there, I need to copy and paste a document from Adobe to Word, when I paste it the document is coming up with all squares and dots.

Any ideas on how to sort this.

You need to have Adobe writer installed, then you can save as a word document.

Some PDF's are protected from cut and paste. You maybe able to print to a file and cut/paste from that, if you can print to a postscript file you may even be able to load it back up into an editor.

i thought you could use the text selection tool in free adobe reader to select and copy text, and then paste it into a document. You have to do it in blocks of text, images won't copy.

As already specified some PDF's are copy protected that means cut/paste does not always work..

Also when cutting/pasting from adobe be aware that some documents use fonts built into the PDF itself which is probably why cut/paste gave symbolic characters instead of plain text as in the OP's first post..
