Reset LAN connection

Can you reset the LAN connection settings, as my laptop status keep saying 'Limited or no connectivity.' When I try to repair it, it say my Lan adapter may be faulty. I have Vista on my laptop.

When I connect my boradband to my PC it works fine.

Try downloading and installing the lastest NIC drivers from your laptop maker's site.
Obviously you'll have to grab them on your desktop machine and transfer the installer across.

....or alternatively, power cycle the modem when switching between PC and laptop.

I tried that, it says limited connectivity.

I even tried connecting my router to my laptop to change the router settings, but it won't let me, because of that message.
