System wide software sound equalizer?

Does anyone know of any good Sound Equalizers that work systemwide?
My speakers don't allow me to control bass output, and it's often far too much. In music players i turn down the 60hz-130hz range and all is well... Some programs dont support this however and i find myself using more programs that don't...

Any ideas? (And no, my sound card drivers don't allow for this, though they did in XP :( I'm running 7 now, and they don't allow it in Vista either...)

what sound card are you using as i know that creative have what they call a console launcher, and that controls the actual sound coming through the speakers from anything.

other than that i'm not certain what you could use unless there is something on the manufacturers website.

This motherboard: http://www.gigabyte.com.tw/Products/...ProductID=2741

Identifies itself as "Realtek High Definition Audio".

if you download the drivers from there for the audio does it give you a icon at the bottom near the clock or anything else that might, say it is for audio as i have one on the laptop that i am using which is, realtek ac'97 audio and i get a little blue icon with when i right click it i get sound manager etc i open that and it gives me a equalizer.

see attached screenshot

Yes, but in Vista and Windows 7 their is no Equalizer, in XP however, the driver package is different, and it includes an equalizer. That's why i need a different piece of software if possible.

not sure then, just been looking on my mate's pc which i have at my house with windows 7 on it and when i try to see if it is anywhere in the sound properties it gives, me the option of the equalizer but no way of changing individual parts just lets me choose pre made configs as it does on win xp.

Have you actually installed the driver package Druchii or are you still using the one that came with 7? I installed the Vista drivers off of my Asus motherboard CD and they work fine, equalizer inclusive

I do have a small "equaliser" re-looking through. None of the presets do what i would like though, and there is no manual option :(
