Folding@Home Question

Hi,

I am setting up Folding@Home and have 2 PC's I want to run it on under the same name, so it adds on to the same name

Is this possible ?
Do I have to set the Machine ID ?

Re: Folding@Home Question

I don't actually use Folding@Home but I do use Seti@Home and Einstein@Home which are both based on the BOINC distributed computing package. Both of these allow me to run them on multiple computers using a single username so I would assume that Folding@Home would also.

From the Folding@home FAQ -

I'm running multiple machines behind a firewall. Can they all have the same username?

Yes. They can all have the same name.

Re: Folding@Home Question

You need only worry about maching ID if you are running more than one instance of folding on the same machine. (maybe you have a multicore CPU).

User ID should be that same on each different machine you run if you want your points to amass against your same user name in the league tables / stats.
