Intermittent disconnects
 
Hi all,

For the past few weeks I have been getting random disconnects which after 2 - 5 minutes resolve themselves and the computer just reconnects.

At first I thought it was due to an online game I was playing, then I heard about problems with the Telia network which I put it down to.

However tonight I am getting it a lot even when my computer is sitting idle and it seems to be quite frequent.

My signal levels are as follows:-

Downstream SNR 29 dB
Downstream Receive Power Level 2.8dBmV
Upstream Power Level 48.0dBmV

I have done nothing different with my computer or the network at my end in more than 12 months so I believe it is not somehing due to any hardware changes.

I am on 20M package and always have been for the last 5 years so again no changes at my end.

Any help would be really appreciated.

Might be worth your while having a word with Tech support via the VM support newsgroups as your downstream SNR is too low and could be the reason for your probs
