Change package?

Hi, been away from here for a while and have a few questions. Currently on an old deal, phone, talk weekends, TV size M and broadband size L for £36 a month. Only need 10Mb broadband and no other changes but there are some new packages, which one would suit me best? The £14 seems a far better deal but what's the catch? Do you get a free wireless router as an existing customer?

Do you have to add the £11 for a phone line to that as well?

I find that side of things a bit confusing.

Had a letter from BT through about getting re-connected for free (usually £122 so anyone thinking of going back to them, get on it lol) so thought I'd look at all the options.

Anyway phone up Virgin to see if I could change my packages and I'm keeping XL TV, moving up to 'proper' 10MB broadband and getting the M phone package for £37 I think.

I don't expect to be paying the £11 for the phone line. Maybe I've got a shock in store!

Yes you do and the ebilling discount of £1 no olonger stands so the offer is £27 all in all, plus you won't get a free wireless router as you only get one if your a new customer taking broadband for the first time.

OK, after a quick call to VM, second attempt - I was cut off first time after going through the options, new package of 20Mb and a reduction of £4 a month. Forgot to ask if this Motorola SB4100 will work at 20MB.

There's an additional line rental charge of £11 for that new user triple offer, making it £25 a month BTW.

Call 151 and ask for a new modem to be posted out to you.

Phoned to check and I'll be paying £35.50 for all three services.

Nice :)
