stress test PC what program ?
 
Hi,

I would like to stress test and old Intel Celeron 1.8Ghz with 512mb ram running Windows XP SP3

Could you recommend me a program or programs.

Nice app, use it myself for testing stability of overclocked machines. I'd also 2nd prime95 too though.

if there is a major problem with the cpu or ram it will fall over quite quickly. You are reasonably sure your stable after a couple of hours but a test of 12 is recommended to test an overclock

Yeah, i'd recommend Prime95... I probably wouldn't risk Intel Burn Test on an older processor.

Prime95 (get the the Multi Core version if you have a Dual/Quad CPU) and you can stick something like Rthdribl or FurMark in the background, that's what I do at work to do a general test of the whole system. You can also use IntelBurnTest if you want to really hammer the CPU.
