WNR 2000 and Web Server

Has anyone got the Netgear WNR 2000 router set up for a Web Server, I'm having problems getting the port forwarding to work, checking the Net it seems a lot of others are finding the same problem.
Currently I have gone back to using my old D-Link but it would be nice to have a backup router if anyone has cracked the issue.

You've added it as a custom service and added the rule to the Firewall?

You will probably find that if you try and forward port 80. You will get the router config page. This is becuase the WRN2000 does not support Loop Back.

I have changed my router to a D-Link 635 and have the WNR 2000 elsewhere in the house running as a repeater.

I have tried everything I can think of, even tried running the DMZ but all callers are rejected.
Thank you for you help.

I am trying to open ports 2020 and 2021 as two services but nothing seems to work.
I had the suspicion that it doesn't have Loop Back, that alone is enough to make me bin it.
The £50 paid to VM could have gone halfway to a new D-Link, anyway back to my old £20 D-Link for now, I won't waste any more time on the Netgear.
Thank you for your help.
