Virgin 50mb

Hey! I just found out i can get the 50mb internet from virgin. Well the site says Up to 50Mb broadband. Does that mean i will get the full 50?
Been with BT for around 5years now, and never had any problems. Im on 8mb, but i know i only get around 5.5. Im totally clueless when it comes to broadband!

Is the 50mb from virgin any good? A few of my mates have it and have told me they had a few problems setting it up. 1 of my mates had a virgin bloke go round 8 times before it was finally fixed. Is it reliable? I'd probably stay with BT for a month while i have virgin, incase it goes tits up

Also i see a lot of people complain about the wireless router, if it gives me probs, could i just use a wired connection and get decent speeds? :S

What do you guys think/suggest?

Re: Virgin 50mb

The 50Mb service is great for me I rarely see anything below 45Mb, you can use your 50Mb wired or wireless, its a new product so there is going to be some teething problems overall I would give it 8 out of 10

Why, well the upload is crap and I had a few little problems but overall very good and fast.
