Thunbnails zipped

I need to send some pictures to somebody and they wanted them as thumbnails and zipped, I'm a bit confused on this so can someone explain the process please, I have paint shop pro and photoshop software but not sure what and how you turn a picture into a thumbnail, and how do they see it in its original size, many thanks.

If there's anything at all riding on this submission (for example: work, a job, money, your reputation, the safety of the world, the release of a hostage, etc) I would ask the people that you're submitting to for clarification.

They might have a different idea about what they mean/wanted than the people giving you responses here :)

They probably just want the images smaller than a set size so as Rob says call them and check or you might send a tiny image thinking thats what they want only to find they just want an image below a set file size.
