Are virgin blocking me?
 

i wasn't sure were exactly to post this so if in the wrong place i apologies lol

ok 2 days ago i was trying to get onto a friends site, i have had no problems at all before but all of a sudden all i get now is timeout messages. I run through a netgear router and have tried to acess the site from this computer and my daughters (she runs through the wireless router) and also via both Firefox and I.E and still doesnt work.

i no the site is up as everyone else i know can access it, i have done all the usual cleaning of cache, cookies , iv reset the router, double and triple checked all my settings, i have tried to ping the site but it just times out, i done a tracert and it starts timing out on the 6th hop.

I can access the site if i use openvpn gui, so my only conclusion is that for some reason virgin are blocking the site or they have dns resolve issues. how would i be able to find out for sure?

Tell us the site so we can try it. I doubt they would block one user from one site.

and no i dont download from it i just go on to chat to friends i have there

I can reach it fine, can you post a traceroute to the site?

Probably VM's recent broken routing claiming another victim.

Ah OVH. Theres your problem. VM have routing issues to them at the moment. The "problem" seems to be hopping around the country, a different place every day. It'll be working again in the morning, you watch.

OVH and VM are both aware of the problem and are apparently working together to fix it, but its a VM problem, so don't hold your breath for a quick fix.

this was so frustrating as up to 2 days ago it worked :( lol hopefully gets sorted soon

Also hosted at OVH, which is why that doesn't work either.

I have the same issue aswell, both those sites dont work my end..hopefully it'll be fixed soon.

Its the company name of the data center the server is hosted in.
