Wireless Printers
Hi
I am currently looking around for a new laptop and printer (the current printer will be given to my brother at uni) Then there will be 1 laptop user and 2 desktop PCs in the house, so once ive got my ADSL wireless router installed in the next few months, im thinking of getting a wireless printer (in an attempt to make it 'futureproof' for when the desktops are eventually replaced by laptops) PC World - Wireless Printers Currys - Wireless Printers Comet - Wireless Printers What are peoples thoughts/reviews/recommendations on wireless printers ? Thanks |
Re: Wireless Printers
Anyone?
Is this technology still relatively new on the market ? |
Re: Wireless Printers
I don't think it is new.
I don't know, but I connected my HP 1320 to a print server via the USB port and connect my 3 lappys to it. |
Re: Wireless Printers
Try and get one with on-printer set up for the Wireless. I got a HP C4380 which is Wireless G, but you need to connect to it via USB to set up the WiFi which is a bit of a pain

Re: Wireless Printers
Thanks for the responses so far.
Is there a big difference in print speed/quality when printing wirelessly and when connected directly to a desktop/laptop ? |
Re: Wireless Printers
Not that I've noticed.

Re: Wireless Printers
There shouldn't be, you're only transmitting a small amount of data.

Re: Wireless Printers
Unless you're printing off huge documents/PDF's with pictures, etc, then you shouldn't notice any difference.
P.s, You shouldn't bother comparing PC World printers with Currys printers...they are the same company. They may have a few different, but the majority of the stock is the same. |
