SVP expand their PC componant lines
and it appears they have forsaken us who used to buy their blank media from there. DVD prices have risen and lines are just vanishing. Looks like its bigpockets or ukdvdr from now on :(

Re: SVP expand their PC componant lines
Didnt SVP used to do more components. I'm sure I got my motherboard from there years ago and then they became only a blank media store.
Gone are the days when CDR's and DVDR's were incredibly cheap. Everything seems to be going up these days. |
Re: SVP expand their PC componant lines
They did some but they concentrated on media seeing as they were theblankdiscshop before they were svp ;)
They are still cheap I have been buying the Maxell F1 Ritek dye discs for around 13/15 quid for 100. Some of the unbranded TYG02 (beware of the TYGO3 unbranded as these are not as good) for the same kinda price. I used to buy dvds from the puter fair years ago and they cost £25 for 25 so they are still cheap now lol |
Re: SVP expand their PC componant lines
svp was sold to a scottish firm last year, since then they seemed to have changed their focus. It was annoying for me as the svp dispatch warehouse was a 5 minute drive from my house so I never paid for postage :) I now use these guys www.ketta.com but their prices are not as keen as svp's are/were.
