Random problems in Walthamstow?

For the past week i've been losing sync 2-3 times in the morning (anywhere between 5AM and 11AM). The "ready light" will flash on the modem and i wont get a connection for around 15-20 minutes.

Now for the past few days the connection has just started to grind to a halt... i'll stay connected (MSN stays connected, downloads will continue) but web pages just stop loading... then eventually the whole connection craps out (although the Ready light remains constant).

Ohh and also one of the people who can no longer connect to the FTP..... at all!

Anyone else been getting this? :(

Flashing ready can be no upstream lock or it may be Low/Fluctuating SNR.
We would need to see the values taken from your modem at the time of having no connection and the ready light flashing.

And yes we are aware that you can not connect to FTP

You need to call VM so they know about it, yes there are more than you who can not connect to FTP but it is not across the board. They are being treated as individual cases.
Make them aware and it will be resolved, harp on about it on this forum and it will remain as it is.

Re: Random problems in Walthamstow?

Well i'm not too fussed about the FTP for now, i just thought it was worth mentioning in case they were linked.

Code:

Upstream transmit Power Level :        47.5 dBmV
Downstream Receive Power Level :        6.1 dBmV
Downstream SNR :        31.8 dB

Are those figures normal?

I can't even remember what there were originally!
