Downstream Lock : Locked
Downstream Channel Id : 52
Downstream Frequency : 307000000 Hz
Downstream Modulation : QAM256
Downstream Symbol Rate : 6952 Ksym/sec
Downstream Interleave Depth : taps12Increment17
Downstream Receive Power Level : 0.1 dBmV
Downstream SNR : 37.9 dB

and upstream.

Upstream Lock : Locked
Upstream Channel ID : 2
Upstream Frequency : 47408000 Hz
Upstream Modulation : QAM16
Upstream Symbol Rate : 2560 Ksym/sec

Re: cable signal levels

Your upstream transmit power is too high at 59.0 but have you got any issues with your broadband?.

If your experiencing slow speeds, cut outs etc etc then you will need a tech visit to sort out those power levels.

Is miles out, looks like the move to the new DOCSIS 3 50Mbit ready network broke your service.

BEEN ON TECH SUPPORT and they said there is nothing wrong it could be my wireless router :s i also asked about the new wireless n and whether they work with a "g" wireless adapters but didnt get much sense out of them

What is the recommended level for Upstream transmit Power? Mines at 51.5 (on QPSK).

Tech support are talking out of their backsides, upstream transmit power on your line should be below 55. 59 is miles out.

Sounds fairly normal for the offshore tech support though, clearly your router's fault that the modem keeps falling offline and its' signal levels will be showing as red on their systems that they don't bother using often as it might distract from obsessive pursuit of the all-knowing flowcharts.

If your not familar with newsgroups read up on them first via google then post a msg to this group above about your problems/transmit power and they will respond to you and im sure will book an engineer for you to come out and adjust the power levels.
