Laptop bag material ?

Hi,

I found a cheap laptop bag/case on eBuyer (http://www.ebuyer.com/product/144866)

I was wondering if the material is ok being Polyester, as I think Polyester can hold static

Unless you intend to dismantle the laptop and leave its bare components in the case I can't see a problem?

Should be ok.

no issue otherwise you would have quite a few people complaining that their laptops have fried in any style bag

most bags these days are polyester/nylon combination. Though there are some nice neoprene sleeves out now :)

Not to mention the components are protected from static naturally when they are assembled in their enclosure

*Goes off to put a laptop in a statically charged bag - for testing purposes*

The chips are earthed within thier little circuit and also the metal shielding/case is a nice little faraday cage :)
