Could not perform this operation because default mail client is not properly install
 

Hi,

Some colleagues of mine are getting this error. I have checked internet explorers default application settings and they all pointing to Outlook 98 or some cases Outlook 2000. I then checked the default application to run for the mailto: protocol but that seems to match up anything else I could check. They are using windows NT 4.0

Forgot to mention this only happens when they click on mailto hyper links

Have you checked your file assoications in windows explorer to see what command it is trying to run for URL:MailTo Protocol?

BTW what mail client are your colleagues using?

They are using Outlook 98 and some are using Outlook 2000.

I did check the file assoications in windows explorer for the url:mailto protocol and that seem to match the command line that I saw on some websites.
