Laptop trackpad and mouse are at different speeds
Hello.
I bought a cheap advent wireless mouse today to play games with on my laptop. It's standard sensitivity is way too high but when I lower it to an acceptable level the trackpad becomes almost unusably slow. Is there any way to adjust the two different settings indepedently? It's a Vaiao with Vista. Thanks. |
Re: Laptop trackpad and mouse are at different speeds
install the latest synaptic touch pad drivers, lets you configure the touchpad seperately to the mouse.

It's an Alps pointing device. I hope the same thing applies.
Thanks very much. |
Re: Laptop trackpad and mouse are at different speeds
The synaptics driver installed but added no extra functionality and actually removed some.
Looks like I'm stuck unless anyone else can help? Cheers. |
Re: Laptop trackpad and mouse are at different speeds
My Dell laptop is the same and its an Alps trackpad. Must be a 'feature' of the pad, lol.
It get really annoying if I plug the mouse in as I need to change the sensitivity and then whack it back up when going back to the pad :( |
