2mb to 10 mb upgrade concern.
Now that VM are upgrading all 2mb lines to 10mb, does anyone know if this will adversely affect the speed of the 10mb? I upgraded to 10mb two months ago and have never had download speeds lower than 9mb ('traffic management' not included).

Re: 2mb to 10 mb upgrade concern.
in theory it shouldnt cause a problem at all because the former 20mbit users supposedly account for 95% of the bandwidth and they have all been migrated onto the docsis 3 platform with the 50mbit dudes so we are all out of your way now which is VM can afford to whack everyone on docsis 1 up to 10mbits, you have got it all to yourselves now :)

Still not good...
https://www.cableforum.co.uk/images/...2009/03/10.png I can't have been capped. The internet hasn't been used until I got home from work at 5:30pm, and I never leave anything on. |

STM from the looks of that
download something from Virgins servers (http://ubuntu.virginmedia.com/releases/intrepid/) you should get around 1mb-900KB/s speed test web sites are not allays correct more so if they are out side of the UK i am on 50 so there are only 1 test site i can use, thats speedtest maidenhead (like now only reporting 23mb speeds but my downloads are going at mostly full 45mb from VM server or news, sometimes M$ or Nvidia i can get good speed but only at night) |
