L package 10-20 meg upgrade?
Does anyone know when virgin are rolling out their upgrades to L package customers? Their website is already advertising M with a 20meg connection but I'm still only getting 10.

Broadband M will receive a speed boost to 10mb and the price will be increased.
Broadband size L is staying as it is for the time being, though. So your speed is fine! :welcome: to Cable Forum! :) |

I am going to be peed off if they increase 10 to 20 for free. You have only just been upgraded from 4 to 10. If you want 20mbit pay for it.

Re: L package 10-20 meg upgrade?
So Virgin Media are upgrading 2mb to 10mb? If they have the capacity to do this then why do they choke peoples speed when they download a certain amount? Surely if their equipment is capable of giving 10mb as basic it can handle it anyway.

Re: L package 10-20 meg upgrade?
it can't handle it, that is why they have got docsis 3 which is supposed to be the bess knees yet they feel the need to stm the 50mbit users by 75% when they said the network is so top notch that there wouldnt be any need for it.
---------- Post added at 21:08 ---------- Previous post was at 21:07 ---------- i think they should give everyone 200mbit so they can advertise they are the fastest isp in the country and then stm everybody by 99% when they download 1gb. It will be alright, it is the Ts & Cs :) |

The 75% figure for XXL is completely made up! |
Re: L package 10-20 meg upgrade?
i know, but given that all the other tiers have a 75% reduction you would think it is only fair that we get the same. Going from 50mbit down to 12.5 sucks ass so much. I think 20mbit would be more fair.
